I am often asked:"What exactly do you do?" I am hoping that a monthly diary will give you an insight into how I help small businesses and how I might be able to help you.
This month some of the things I have been asked to do on behalf of my clients have included:
•Carrying out competitor research. Do you know what your competitors are doing?
•Writing blogs and adding content to Wordpress websites. Keeping your website content fresh and up-to-date helps to improve your rankings with the search engines.
•Coming up with ideas for and scheduling social media updates. Over 45% of people now check a business out on social media before buying from them :)
•Providing a point of liaison between a client and their graphic designer to come up with a refreshed look to the current company logo. I get to understand a business and what their expectations are.
•Research into workwear clothing and coming up with options for new uniforms for staff.
•Created and sent out a selection of newsletters on behalf of clients to their customer lists to keep them informed of company news, new products and staff updates. Look after your current contacts before you start looking for new ones.
•Created a new logo for a client wanting to launch a new business on a limited budget – we are now planning their forward marketing.
•1:1 sessions in how to effectively use Twitter / Facebook for business. Not sure which social media platforms you should be on - check out where your competitors are.
•Set up Facebook Business pages for new business start-ups. New to social media? Don't set up a Facebook profile page, you need a business page.
It’s been a fun month and what I enjoy about my job is the variety of work – all of which helps my customers move ahead with their business. In between working for clients, I have attended networking events both online and off line. Looking forward to a busy July :)
